The Division of Academic Affairs is accepting resumes for a full-time, exempt position with full benefits. The position will report to the Director of Instructional Technology.
Essential Job Duties: Consults with faculty and staff in developing instructional uses of technologies; researches, analyzes and evaluates new technologies for potential applications in instruction; promotes the implementation of technological innovations; creates demonstrations of instructional application of technologies; plans, coordinates and conducts special topics workshops in the use of technologies in instruction for faculty, staff or conferences; arranges and schedules new technologies demonstrations and workshops by vendors; provides assistance to faculty, staff and administrators who have instructional technology in instruction for faculty, staff or conferences; publicizes and promotes services, resources and activities of the Center microcomputer hardware and peripheral for the Center for Instructional Technology; recommends new technologies, hardware, software and related printer material for acquisition by the Center; and designs and develops new instructional technology applications. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, computer science required or appropriate related field experience in on-line course development and instruction. Master’s degree preferred with appropriate experience in a college setting. Knowledge of current technologies, various microcomputer hardware, peripherals and microcomputer operating systems, networking systems, various microcomputer software packages to include: Information processing, Database management, Spreadsheet analysis, Graphics, and Authoring languages and systems; and Instructional design techniques and procedures. Must have the ability to develop behavioral objectives and instructional materials, diagnose microcomputer and other technology and software programs, interpret user and owner manuals in lay person’s terms, identify advantages and limitation of using various technologies for instructional and other purposes, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and establish cooperative working relationships with persons contacted in the course of performing assigned duties.
